VASH Voucher Program

The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program combines Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless Veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA administers these services for participating veterans at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics.

The local HUD-VASH program is a partnership between the Fayetteville North Carolina Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VAMC) and FMHA. The VA Fayetteville refers homeless veterans to the HUD-VASH program and provides case management while FMHA administers rental assistance to eligible veterans.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Homeless veterans;
  • Must be referred by Fayetteville NC VA Medical Center (VAMC).
