Successful Completions 2024
Tori Barnes is a recent 2024 Graduate of the Family Self-Sufficiency program. While in the five-year program, she accomplished several goals. She enrolled in the two-year Job Skills Training/Apprenticeship Program and will graduate from the program in May 2024. Ms. Barnes also completed the Building Maintenance Mechanic class at Fayetteville Technical Community College in August 2022. In her pursuit of homeownership, she attended the First-time Homebuyers Class. Tori is currently employed at A Great Choice for Home Health Care. She takes great pride in caring for her family. Ms. Barnes is also the primary caregiver for her mother. Tori is grateful for the service that she received from the FSS Program and strongly encourages other residents to take advantage of the opportunity!

Each participant who successfully completed the FSS Program completed a series of Adult Financial Literacy workshops, met with a financial counselor of Fayetteville on a quarterly basis, maintained monthly contact with the FSS case manager, as well as, worked toward their own individual goals established on their ITSP.
